From Philadelphia (via the Walt Whitman Bridge)

From the bridge take Route 42 to the Atlantic City Expressway.  Take exit 7 for the Garden State Parkway South. Continue on the Garden State Parkway South until it ends at mile “0″. Go straight through the traffic light and over the high bridge over the canal and proceed into Cape May on Lafayette St. staying in the right hand lane.  Continue straight until you get to the traffic light at Ocean St. Turn left onto Ocean St. and proceed through the traffic light at Washington St. Keep going until the last block before the ocean. Leith Hall is on your right, about 1/2 block from the beach. For short term parking during check-in, pull up to the yellow curb in front of our inn and turn on your blinkers,  or pull into a parking space on the street and put a quarter in the meter.  When we check you in, we will show you where to park.

From New York and North Jersey

Take the Garden State Parkway South until it ends at mile “O”. From Baltimore & Washington

Take Interstate 95 North toward Wilmington, DE. Follow signs to the Delaware Memorial Bridge and the NJ Turnpike. Shortly after crossing the bridge take Route 40 East toward Atlantic City. Take Rt 55 South until it ends, putting you on Rt 47 South to Rio Grande (it doesn’t matter if you end up on Rt 347 South because it will merge later with Rt 47 south). Take the Garden State Parkway South until it ends at mile “0″. Go through the traffic light and over the high bridge over the canal and proceed into Cape May on Lafayette St. staying in the right hand lane. Continue straight until you get to the traffic light at Ocean St. Turn left onto Ocean St. and proceed through the traffic light at Washington St. Keep going until the last block before the ocean. Leith Hall is on your right, about 1/2 block from the beach. From Washington and Points South

Consider taking the Cape May-Lewes Ferry. It doesn’t save any time, but it’s a relaxing boat ride – and you might get lucky and see whales or dolphins swimming alongside the boat.

From the Cape May-Lewes Ferry Cape May Terminal

When you exit the ferry terminal you will be on U.S. Route 9 North. Continue on Route 9 for 1.9 miles to the third stop light which is Seashore Rd (also Rt. 626). (Don’t count the left-hand turn-only signal into the Acme shopping center as a stoplight.)

Turn right onto Seashore Rd. The road changes its name to Broadway as you come into town. Continue on Seashore Rd/Broadway for a total of 2.7 miles until the road ends at Beach Ave. Turn left onto Beach Ave, Cape May County Road 604. Continue on Beach Ave for 0.6 miles to Ocean St. There is a white motel, the Marquis de Lafayette,  just at the corner. Turn left onto Ocean StLeith Hall is the first Victorian house on your left hand side, about 1/2 block from Beach Drive.
