Suzie in the Front Hall at Christmas

Christmas at Leith Hall Bed and Breakfast

What is it about Christmas and Victoriana that go so well together? Almost everything we associate with Christmas dates from the nineteenth-century. Xmas trees and ornaments, exchanging presents, Christmas dinners and Santa Claus. At our Bed and Breakfast we decorate the decorations. As though the multi-patterned wallpapers were not enough, we have a giant early 20th century tree set up in the parlor. We set up a late Victorian tabletop tree in the front hall and a tiny mid-century goose-feather tree in the Iris Room.

We have swags draping all of the doors, holly and ivy grace the pictures, and Santa Clauses through the ages ornament the cabinet grand piano in the parlor.

Christmas in Cape May

Cape May hosts a great small-town Christmas Parade in early December. Holly Trolley rides and Christmas theme tours at the Physick Estate run all season. Hospitality night on the mall features punch and cookies in all of the local stores. Our many specialty shops and antique jewelry stores offer one-of-a-kind gifts you can’t find anywhere else.
