Cape May Zoological Park

For some unknown reason, Cape May County maintains a great menagerie. Our County freeholders don’t like to spend money – except on the zoo. They are always expanding and modernizing it. They recently added a new reptile house, an aviary  –  and recently bought a farm and made a safari park.

Amazingly, its also free – or a least pay whatever you want. If you have a day when it isn’t beach weather or you want another outdoor activity, I highly recommend the Cape May County Zoo.

It’s located in the town of Cape May Courthouse. Take the Garden State Parkway northbound (the only direction that exists from Cape May) and get off at the third traffic light. Turn left, go one block, and you will see the entrance to the Park and Zoo.
